DACC has developed the Pets Are Family (PAF) community outreach program to help County of Los Angeles residents in need of resources for pet care. You can use this site to check if you are eligible and request a voucher for the following services.

Los Angeles County Animal Care Foundation (ACF) Voucher Program

DACC has identified common reasons why pets are surrendered to animal shelters and created the ACF voucher program to promote pet retention. DACC has learned that a little help goes a long way in keeping families together.

* Maximum voucher total cannot exceed $300 per pet, limit two pets per household (per calendar year)
* This is NOT a reimbursement program. Vouchers are NOT for Emergencies or preventative care (see Vet at the Park schedule). If your pet requires urgent or emergency care, do not wait for a voucher. Please seek immediate veterinary assistance.
* Vouchers can ONLY be utilized at participating vendors
* Vouchers are valid for 30 days from the date of issuance

Spay/Neuter Voucher Program (SNVP)

SNVP assists residents of LA County by providing vouchers that help lessen the cost of spay/neuter surgeries. Spay/neuter of dogs and cats is mandatory within Los Angeles County. The SNVP is also a vital program in helping reduce pet overpopulation.

  • Spay/Neuter vouchers are available to residents of unincorporated Los Angeles County or a DACC participating contract city.
  • A copy of your current driver’s license and a recent utility bill must be uploaded with your application for address verification.
  • This is NOT a reimbursement program for spay/ neuter services.
  • The S/N voucher goes toward the cost of spay/neuter surgery.
    • Any additional costs related to spay/neuter surgery or other services will be the pet owner’s responsibility.
  • S/N vouchers are for spaying or neutering dogs and cats only. No rabbits.
  • Limited to 4 pets per household.
  • S/N vouchers are not issued for Community Cats.
